Manager Social Media

The Manager Social Media will lead Fiji Airways' global digital presence across key platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube, and LinkedIn. This role blends strategic vision and hands-on execution to grow engagement for the Fiji Airways Group to increase brand awareness and leverages our digital platforms to drive commercial outcomes. This role ensures that our social media efforts contribute positively and directly to the airline's bottom line. Working with the Brand & Content team, you'll oversee high-end content creation, influencer partnerships, customer interactions, and trend-driven storytelling-using data and emerging tools to showcase our unique brand and connect with audiences worldwide.

Strategic & Operational Deliverables

  • Execute a comprehensive global social media strategy aligned with Fiji Airways' brand goals.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube, LinkedIn) for Fiji Airways, Fiji Link, and the Aviation Academy.
  • Stay ahead of platform innovations, AI-powered tools, and cultural trends to ensure a creative, social-first approach that keeps the Fiji Airways brand relevant and engaging.

Content Planning & Production

  • Build and own a comprehensive monthly content calendar aligned with brand strategy, seasonal campaigns, and Fiji Airways product pillars.
  • Responsible for the creation, curation, and publishing of high-end social media content that reflects the brand's tone, voice, and values.
  • Tailor content to local cultures and audience preferences.

Customer Community & Disruption Management

  • Oversee daily social activity, community engagement, sentiment, and working along the customer care & PR Team to ensure timely, tone-appropriate responses to customer inquiries and feedback.

Influencer & Partnerships

  • Establish and cultivate influencer relationships, to expand brand reach and enhance authenticity across target markets.
  • Activate influencers, tourism boards, airports, media, and hospitality partners to amplify campaigns and drive User generated content (UGC) and improve conversions.
  • Track influencer ROI and program impact.

Campaign Execution & Collaboration

  • Ensure the successful execution of social media marketing campaigns aligned with commercial objectives such as promotions, network launches, sponsorships through the use of campaign specific content.
  • Coordinate assigned activations with tourism boards, global airport teams, and partner brands to expand reach across target markets that will drive revenue and brand awareness.
  • Blend organic and paid campaigns, ensuring content optimization and performance.

Performance & Reporting

  • Use analytics platforms (Sprout Social, Meta Business Suite, GA) to track performance, sentiment, and ROI.
  • Deliver monthly reports to relevant internal stakeholders (PR, Customer Care, Digital Marketing, People & Performance) with insights, trend analysis, and recommendations to improve effectiveness and decision making.
    Qualifications, Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, Media, or related field.
  • 6-8+ years' experience in social media, digital marketing, or content strategy-preferably within travel, airline, or global brand environments.
  • Proven capability in leveraging social media for revenue generation and brand awareness.
  • Proven ability to lead multi platform social media strategies and influencer programs globally.
  • Experience with multimedia content production: photo, video, design, storytelling is preferred.
  • Established personal brand that naturally aligns with Fiji Airways.
  • Excellent report writing skills required, with the ability to analyze data, present findings clearly, and tailor content for diverse audiences including senior management and internal stakeholders.
  • Skilled with AI driven tools, social listening, analytics dashboards, and paid media strategies.
  • Excellent writing, creative direction, stakeholder collaboration, and crisis response skills.
  • Experience managing customer engagement or social care teams.
  • Familiarity with global and regional social ecosystems and trends.
