Lead Creative Designer

Are you ready to take the helm of a high-performing design studio at one of the world's most iconic airlines?

Fiji Airways is looking for a skilled and experienced Lead Creative Designer to oversee and drive the day-to-day operations of our in-house creative team.

From managing fast-moving workflows to ensuring brand consistency and design excellence, this role is central to supporting every part of our business from Fiji Airways and Fiji Link to the Fiji Aviation Academy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Creative Leadership & Execution: Lead design projects from concept to delivery, pushing creative boundaries while ensuring brand consistency and high-quality execution.
  • Creative Studio Operations: Oversee the full operation of the internal design studio, managing creative briefs, timelines, workflows, and resource allocation across multiple departments and projects.
  • Workflow & Project Management: Coordinate the delivery of over 1,500 creative assets per month, ensuring timely execution, clear approvals, and streamlined production processes.
  • Stakeholder Support: Act as the key creative partner for departments including Fiji Link, Fiji Airways Corporate, Fiji Aviation Academy, Digital, Marketing, Sales, and HR-translating their needs into visually compelling outputs.
  • Creative Process Development: Establish and maintain efficient creative processes that prioritize collaboration, quality, innovation, and speed, while staying aligned with business objectives.
  • Quality Control & Attention to Detail: Ensure all creative output-whether digital, print, environmental, or video-meets high standards of design, brand consistency, and accuracy.
  • Visual Content Production: Oversee in-house video editing and photography direction, collaborating on compelling visual storytelling.
  • Digital & UX/UI Design: Create seamless, user-centered experiences across our website, mobile platforms, and digital touchpoints.
  • Asset Management: Maintain an organized system for managing creative assets, templates, and version control across campaigns and departments.
  • Continuous Improvement & Innovation: Regularly review and refine creative operations and output, introducing new tools, methods, or efficiencies to improve overall team performance.
  • Team Mentorship: Provide creative guidance and mentorship to a team of designers, supporting professional growth and a strong creative culture.
    Qualifications, Skills & Experience
  • Tertiary qualification in Graphic Design or a related field.
  • 10-15 years of professional design experience, ideally in an in-house or agency environment.
  • Proven experience managing high-volume creative workflows and cross-functional stakeholder relationships.
  • Strong eye for detail, brand alignment, and creative problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication and team leadership skills.
