We are seeking a motivated Graduate Trainee to join our Internal Audit team on a 12 month journey designed to build your expertise in governance, risk management, and internal controls.

In this role, you will gain hands on experience and gain exposure to different audit assignments and may be rotated across various functional reviews within Fiji Airways.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist with planning and executing internal audit assignments, including preparing audit working papers and documentation.
• Participate in walkthroughs to understand business processes, risks, and controls across multiple departments.
• Perform testing of controls, transactions, and compliance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Support data analysis and help identify control gaps, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
• Assist in preparing draft audit findings, reports, and risk assessments with clear and accurate documentation.
• Maintain audit files, trackers, and follow ups to monitor implementation of recommendations.
• Contribute to special reviews, investigations, stock counts, and ad hoc assurance tasks as needed.
• Support development of process maps, control matrices, and risk registers.
• Build strong working relationships while upholding confidentiality, professionalism, and independence.
• Complete ad hoc assignments and reporting requested by Internal Audit Management or the Audit Committee.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• A minimum of a Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Information Systems, Risk Management, or a related discipline.
• Strong interest in audit, governance, compliance, or risk management.
• Previous internship/attachment work experience would be an added advantage.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills with a positive and professional attitude.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
• Team player with willingness to learn and take initiative.
