GRADUATE TRAINEE - CYBERSECURITY ANALYST

As a Graduate Trainee Cybersecurity Analyst, you will play a key role in safeguarding Fiji Airways' critical systems and data while learning from industry experts. This is your chance to build a strong foundation in cybersecurity and contribute to safeguarding critical systems and information within Fiji Airways.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Training & Development

  • Participate in an intensive on-the-job training program focused on cybersecurity principles, tools, and best practices.
  • Work alongside experienced cybersecurity specialists to learn about real-world threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation strategies.

Monitoring & Analysis

  • Assist in monitoring security alerts and analyzing incidents to identify potential threats.
  • Help assess log files across multiple systems and environments to detect indicators of compromise.

Threat Intelligence

  • Support the monitoring of aviation-specific cybersecurity threat sources.
  • Analyze and share intelligence on emerging risks and industry trends.
  • Help adapt security measures to counter evolving cyber threats.

Incident Response

  • Contribute to assessing and investigating security incidents.
  • Support the implementation of response plans to neutralize threats and protect airline operations.
  • Assist in integrating cybersecurity into Fiji Airways' emergency response procedures.

Vulnerability Assessment

  • Learn to conduct vulnerability assessments and audits across systems, networks, and user access points.
  • Assist IT teams in implementing remediation actions and improving compliance.

Security Awareness

  • Participate in developing cybersecurity awareness programs for all employees.
  • Promote best practices and foster a culture of cybersecurity vigilance across the organization.

Aviation Cybersecurity

  • Learn about aviation-specific cybersecurity standards, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Contribute to securing avionic systems and protecting aircraft onboard systems from cyber threats.

Documentation & Collaboration

  • Assist in maintaining cybersecurity policies, procedures, and incident response documentation.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, internal stakeholders, and aviation regulators.

Projects & Research

  • Participate in cybersecurity projects and strategic initiatives.
  • Conduct research on emerging cyber threats and trends relevant to aviation.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • CompTIA Security PLUS, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent certifications would be beneficial but not required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Should be in a position to learn and adapt quickly with a strong commitment to personal and professional development.
  • A team player with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Good organization and problem-solving skills with the ability to work on own initiative with the energy, drive and commitment to deliver results to meet timelines.
  • Possess interpersonal skills to work effectively with all levels within the organization with the capacity to handle pressure while fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and autonomously shoulder additional duties assigned.
