Tradesperson - Workshop Mechanical
The purpose of the Tradesperson - Workshop Mechanical role is to carry out the inspection, repair, maintenance, modification and overhaul of aircraft mechanical systems and components for Fiji Airways and other customers, in accordance with applicable safety procedures and manufacturer manuals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manufacture test rigs as required in the Mechanical Workshop.

Assist with or carry out repairs on Ground Support Equipment and aircraft components relevant to the trade.

Perform trade-related work on Outside Operators' aircraft.

Assist with other workshop functions as required.

Liaise with relevant sections/departments to coordinate work and meet quality and production requirements.

Provide assistance with basic aircraft maintenance tasks.

Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean, safe and secure condition in accordance with 5S practices.

Carry out all work in accordance with safety procedures, Component Maintenance Manuals and Overhaul Manuals.

Perform any other duties as assigned by the Aircraft Workshop Coordinator (Mechanical).
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Successfully completed FNU/TAFE Aircraft Maintenance Tradesman Certificate course.

CAAF Aircraft Maintenance Certificate.
-
Have an acceptable recorded work experience in the Practical Training Records Book.
