Ramp Agent - Nadi

This role reports to the Customer Service Duty Manager - Nadi and the purpose of the Ramp Agent - Nadi is to conduct on and off-loading of passenger baggage, cargo and mail and aircraft cleaning for all Fiji Airways flights and other contracted operators.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Complies with Fiji Airways ground operations, safety, security and freight policies and procedures and MOH / FRCS / BAF / Immigration requirements when handling passenger baggage, mail and cargo.
  • Facilitates the efficient transfer of baggage, mail and cargo to achieve company standards for On-Time Performance.
  • Ensures Baggage Reconciliation is conducted for all Fiji Airways and Fiji Link flights departing and arriving into Nadi.
  • Coordinates and facilitates assistance in handling passengers for Fiji Airways flights (departure and arrival) who require special handling and/or medical assistance.
  • Provides Inflight cabin cleaning services of all Fiji Airways flights prior to departure and upon arrival.
  • Responsible for the usage and safety, care of GSE (Tug/Belt Loader).
  • Responsible for Marshalling of arrival and departing aircrafts and connecting/disconnecting Ground Power Unit (GPU) when applicable.
  • Maintains currency for all security clearance requirements sufficient to maintain the safety and security of the ramp, equipment at all times.
  • Appraises and abides by all applicable regulations relevant to environment and the role. (Customs, Immigration, Bio Security, Health and AVSEC).
  • This role also ensures that FJ's 5-star Skytrax rating is maintained throughout the passenger journey at the airport.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Successfully completed Form 6/Year 12.
  • A Valid driving licence.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Valid Dangerous Goods certification and Valid Aviation Security certification will be an advantage.
  • Flexible, team player and adaptable to various situations.
  • Heavy and manual workload.
  • Use initiative and sound independent judgment within established guidelines.
  • Working experience in an Airport environment.
  • Ramp experience.
