The Compliance & Training Coordinator - BOH (Baggage & Ramp Handling) supports the standardisation, training, and continuous improvement of Back of House (BOH) airport operations, with a primary focus on the design, development, maintenance, and enhancement of e-learning and digital training solutions.
The role is responsible for ensuring BOH personnel are trained, competent, and compliant with applicable regulatory requirements, operational standards, and customer service expectations. Working under the guidance of the Manager Global Airports Training, the position translates approved standards, procedures, and training frameworks into effective learning solutions that support operational readiness, compliance, and consistency across global airport operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the design, development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of BOH training materials, with a strong emphasis on e-learning and digital learning solutions.
- Develop and update engaging training content based on approved BOH procedures, standards, operational requirements, and process changes.
- Support the digitization of BOH training programmes to improve accessibility, consistency, efficiency, and scalability across airport locations.
- Ensure all training content aligns with approved training frameworks, operational requirements, and regulatory standards.
- Maintain version control and ensure training materials remain current, accurate, and audit-ready.
- Support the standardisation of BOH processes through the application of relevant industry standards, including ICAO, IATA, IOSA, SMS, and internal operational requirements.
- Conduct BOH operational observations, reviews, and time studies as directed, including baggage handling and other operational activities.
- Analyse operational and training-related data to identify gaps, trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Provide evidence-based recommendations to support operational efficiency, service delivery improvements, and training enhancements.
- Collect, analyse, and interpret BOH operational and training data to support informed decision-making and performance improvement.
- Prepare accurate and timely reports on training effectiveness, compliance levels, operational performance trends, and identified risks.
- Support root cause analysis activities and continuous improvement initiatives through data-driven insights and recommendations.
- Support compliance with applicable regulatory, safety, quality, and operational standards, including ICAO, IATA, IOSA, and internal policies and procedures.
- Maintain BOH training records, including training completion, e-learning participation, recurrency requirements, and competency evidence.
- Prepare, maintain and organise training documentation and supporting evidence required for internal and external audits.
- Conduct BOH gap analyses against applicable standards, including ISM and IGOM requirements, and provide findings for incorporation into approved manuals, procedures, and training materials.
- Work collaboratively with airport management, BOH personnel, and operational stakeholders to support training delivery, compliance initiatives, and operational change implementation.
- Clearly communicate training requirements, process updates, procedural changes, and performance expectations to operational teams.
- Collaborate across departments and workgroups to ensure BOH training solutions are practical, sustainable, and effectively embedded within operations.
- Support the administration and maintenance of training systems, including Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other e-learning platforms.
- Monitor and track BOH training compliance, recurrency requirements, and completion status across all applicable stations.
- Ensure training records are accurate, up to date, properly maintained, and readily available for audit and compliance purposes.
- Perform any other reasonable duties related to the role as assigned by management from time to time.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Diploma qualification (preferably a degree) in Aviation, Airport Operations, Logistics, Training, or a related discipline, together with a Train the Trainer certification.

Demonstrated basic knowledge of baggage handling and ramp operations, IATA standards (including IGOM, ISM, and other relevant manuals), and Safety Management Systems (SMS).

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, reporting, and training development tools, including PowerPoint and e-learning platforms.

Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in aviation, airline, ground handling, or airport operations, including at least 2 years in Back of House (BOH) operations such as baggage handling, ramp, or turnaround operations.

Experience delivering or supporting training programmes, implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and developing training materials and e-learning content.

Experience working with operational procedures, safety standards, compliance requirements, audits, and documentation management.

Demonstrated ability to monitor, track, analyse, and report on operational and training performance data.

Exposure to Learning Management Systems (LMS), training record systems, and working with operational teams in safety-critical environments.
