Company Driver

This role reports to the Transport Coordinator and is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of customers, as well as handling deliveries from business and residential locations. The incumbent ensures compliance with traffic laws, follows designated routes, maintains sufficient fuel, keeps the vehicle in roadworthy condition, and ensures the interior of the vehicle is clean and presentable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely transport Cabin Crew, Technical Crew, Airline Staff, VIPs, Executives, and operational packages in accordance with aviation-industry time-critical standards.
  • Ensure punctuality, meeting flight schedules, duty time limitations, and operational requirements.
  • Follow programmed routes accurately, using navigation tools to avoid delays, roadblocks, or disruptions.
  • Maintain situational awareness and make independent decisions during traffic disruptions, weather events, road closures, or operational changes.
  • Conduct pre-start, in-shift, and post-shift vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness, cleanliness, and compliance with safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of vehicle use, mileage, fuel/charging, and trip logs.
  • Identify, report, and document defects, incidents, or near misses, escalating issues promptly.
  • Ensure the vehicle meets executive and airline presentation standards, including interior comfort and exterior condition.
  • Deliver high-standard customer service, interacting respectfully, calmly, and in a culturally aware manner with all passengers.
  • Act as a front-line ambassador for the organisation, maintaining confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism.
  • Support office logistics and administrative transport tasks, including document collection, equipment delivery, and urgent operational movements.
  • Operate vehicles in full compliance with road laws, company safety policies, and defensive driving principles.
  • Follow Health & Safety, fatigue management, and workplace conduct requirements.
  • Respond professionally to irregular operations, including delays, schedule changes, night shifts, early starts, and extended duty periods.
  • In the event of an accident, secure the vehicle, ensure passenger wellbeing, cooperate with authorities, and follow published protocols.
  • Work closely with the Manager - Transport and Transport Coordinators to continuously improve service quality.
  • Perform additional duties as directed, supporting ongoing improvement of the transport service.

Training, Certification & Capability Development

1. Trauma First Aid & Emergency Response

Provide immediate first aid during medical emergencies, road incidents, or workplace accidents until professional assistance arrives.

2. Customer Service & Professional Conduct Standards

Participate in ongoing training to maintain high service delivery, confidentiality, and professional interaction with crew, executives, and guests.

3. Health, Safety & Fatigue Management

Training to ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and best practices for safe driving and personal wellbeing.

Qualifications & Experience

  • A valid driver class 2 with 3,4, 5, 6 licenses.
  • Form 6 level education.
  • 3 year driving experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of operating areas.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication.
  • Proficiency using GPS devices.
