Revenue Analyst - Graduate Trainee

Reporting to the Senior Manager Business Intelligence, the successful incumbent will prepare historial and forward projections to provide insights to the wider Commercial team about routes, markets and Fiji Airways Group performance. This role will also provide data interpretations, monitor trends and provide data to support decision making. 

 

 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in extracting, validating, and analyzing historical data and forward projections using established data analytics tools.
  • Support the team in managing data preprocessing tasks and monitoring Daily ETL process (various Systems).
  • Learn to maintain and use existing and new databases, while providing basic support to internal users.
  • Support the analytics team with deep-dive reviews and performance analysis tasks.
  • Work with various business units to collect data and gather information from internal and external sources that support key business drivers.
  • Provide data, airline statistics, and simple reports to support the wider Commercial Team.
  • Help compile information for the Weekly Sales & Revenue updates shared with Senior Management.
  • Monitor and assist with the Business Intelligence Service Desk, preparing weekly updates on completed tasks and stakeholder support requests.
  • Support the maintenance of system reference data to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy is always upheld across all reporting outputs.
  • Assist in preparing and publishing daily reports to support business decision-making.
  • Contribute to Business Intelligence initiatives by assisting with user acceptance testing (UAT) and document findings.
  • Manage and Maintain Department change management logs.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of bachelor's degree in commerce, Statistics, Accounting, Finance or Information Systems from a recognized university.
  • Minimum of 1-year work experience as an analyst or in a similar position is preferred.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and information systems skills.
  • Experience in data analysis is preferred but not essential.
  • Willingness to adapt to a new learning environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and autonomously manage workload.
  • Good organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to work on own initiative and energy.
  • Possess interpersonal skills to work effectively with all levels within the organization.
